Horizontal Laminar Flow
The HP Strainer’s patented horizontal laminar flow design allows water to travel through the unit in a smooth, continuous path rather than being forced through abrupt changes in direction. By maintaining a more direct flow path and utilizing its dual-basket configuration, the HP Strainer minimizes flow disruption while efficiently separating debris from the water stream.
Bag Grabber
The HP Strainer’s Bag Grabber is specifically designed to capture large bags, rags, plastic sheeting, and other oversized debris before they can block the filtration baskets or significantly restrict flow. Located at the influent side of the strainer, the Bag Grabber’s toothed design intercepts bulky debris and guides it along the interior walls of the housing, rather than allowing it to collapse across the filtration area and clog water flow.
Integrated Mounting Hardware
The HP Strainer features integrated mounting hardware designed to provide a secure, stable installation without the need for additional supports or field-fabricated mounting solutions. Unlike traditional pot strainers that typically sit directly on the floor or equipment pad, the HP Strainer mounts firmly in place as part of the piping system. This integrated design simplifies installation, improves stability, and helps maintain proper alignment while providing a cleaner, more organized equipment layout.
Manual Cleaning (Horizontal)
When installed in a horizontal mounting position, the HP Strainer is designed for quick, convenient access during routine cleaning and maintenance. Easy turning handwheels allow the access doors to be opened and secured without the need for tools, reducing the time required to service the strainer. Once opened, the doors provide a convenient working surface where dirty baskets can be placed for cleaning, keeping them supported and close to the unit.
Auto Air Evacuation
The HP Strainer’s automatic air evacuation design continuously eliminates trapped air that can accumulate within the strainer. By reducing air accumulation, the HP Strainer helps minimize the risk of pump cavitation, vibration, and unnecessary wear while maintaining consistent flow through the system.
